PG Correspondence Course will start after permission from UGC in BBMKU latest news update 2023
Preparations are being made to give more options to students for PG studies
Latest Updated 11/07/2023: Binod Bihari Mahto Koyalanchal Vishwavidyalaya (BBMKU), Dhanbad has sought permission from UGC to start PG studies through distance education (correspondence course). A letter has been written to the UGC.
Distance course will start in PG as soon as permission is granted from UGC. In the notification issued by the university, it has been said that it will start only in non-practical subjects from session 23-25. Correspondence (through distance learning mode) studies will be started in constituent colleges.

Correspondence course will be in 28 thousand rupees, the course fee will be seven thousand rupees for one semester, that is, for four semesters, a fee of 28 thousand rupees will have to be paid. Let us inform that BBMKU has received 29 thousand applications for PG CUET (Common University Entrance Test).

Due to discontinuance of PG education in constituent colleges, now education will be done only in the university campus. In such a situation, less students will get a chance. The university has said that according to the demand of the students, increasing the seats in some PG subjects can be considered. On the other hand, AJSU, NSUI, ABVP and other student organizations are opposing the closure of PG studies in constituent colleges.
Process being completed for correspondence course: VC
BBMKU Vice Chancellor Prof. Shukdev Bhoi said that letter has been sent to UGC. It is our endeavor that more and more students do PG. There should be quality maintenance in PG studies. All the procedures are being completed by the university for PG Correspondence course. Only after completing all the procedures will the correspondence course be started by the university.
