Latest Updated 07/07/2023: The High Court approved the decision to cancel the graduate level examination of the Uttarakhand Subordinate Services Selection Commission. A single bench of Justice Ravindra Maithani on Thursday upheld the commission's order canceling the examination in this matter. More than 1.40 lakh candidates had appeared in the recruitment examination for a total of 916 posts.

As per the case, the commission had canceled the graduate level examination in December last year after the paper leak episode came to the fore. The commission said to conduct the examination again. But the candidates who were successful in this examination filed a petition in the High Court against the decision of the commission. There was a hearing on this in the High Court on Thursday. In this regard, Commission's advocate Harsh Dhanik said that along with the investigation report of STF, the statements of people, technicians and candidates of the printing press arrested in the cheating case were also placed before the court.

In this, the arrested accused told that they made the paper accessible to many candidates on a large scale through WhatsApp and also by printing. This proves that there was massive cheating in this exam. In such a situation, the court accepted the order of cancellation of the examination of the Commission as correct. The commission will re-conduct the graduate level examination on July 9. It is estimated that 1.40 lakh candidates will appear in it. Admit cards have been issued for this. The Commission has already banned the candidates who cheat in the examination.
