Formation of team to check the beneficiaries of Pre Matric Scholarship in Jharkhand latest news update 2023

SC, ST and OBC students from 1st to 10th get pre matric scholarship
Five teams have been formed

Latest Updated 03/07/2023: In Jharkhand, the beneficiaries of the pre-matric scholarship to the students of class 1 to 10 will be scrutinised. The state government has decided to check the school-wise beneficiaries to find out whether the students whose names have been given for the benefits of the scheme are correct or not.


Circle-wise investigation team has been constituted for verification of students and schools. This team will examine the resolution issued for pre matric scholarship and post matric scholarship schemes running at the district level and provide the report. The team constituted by the Welfare Department will visit schools and related offices in the districts of the divisions. During the visit, a report will be prepared on whether the resolution and rules issued in the implementation of scholarship schemes have been followed literally or not.

Institutions that do not follow the rules will be deprived of scholarship, if the information given earlier by any school is found wrong during the investigation, then the children of that school will be deprived of the benefit of pre-matric scholarship. The Tribal Welfare Commissioner of the Scheduled Tribes, Scheduled Castes, Minorities and Backward Classes Welfare Department has given instructions in this regard. Let us tell you that pre-matric scholarship is given to the students of Scheduled Tribes, Scheduled Castes and Backward Classes studying in government schools from 1st to 10th standard.


Three schools in each block will be verified The investigation team formed by the Welfare Department will investigate at least three schools in each block. All the schools have been asked to keep the original attendance register of the students as well as the scholarship papers updated. For this, the welfare officers of all the districts have sent instructions to the Block Education Dissemination Officer and Block Welfare Officer. On this basis, the team of the Welfare Department will investigate.
