Latest Updated 23/07/2023: The ban on admission in ANM, GNM, BSC Nursing in the state has been lifted by the High Court. The court has directed the Health Department to complete the nomination process soon by issuing a revised advertisement for nomination. Justice R Mukhopadhyay's court lifted the stay on the advertisement issued for nomination in the light of the government's affidavit.

By filing an affidavit of the government, it was told that in the advertisement issued earlier for nomination, approval has been given to include the citizens of India can apply, deleting the mandatory application of the residents of Jharkhand only. On this, the court issued a revised advertisement and directed to complete the process soon by taking examination for nomination. Let us tell you that on June 3, the court had directed the government to file a reply while banning the advertisement. The government filed an affidavit and talked about making changes in the advertisement.

In the advertisement released earlier for nomination, advertisement was invited only from the permanent residents of Jharkhand. Against this, Kulchandra Kumar Singh and others had filed a petition in the High Court. On behalf of the applicants, the court was told that the Jharkhand State Joint Entrance Examination Board has issued an advertisement on 17 May for admission in ANM, GNM Nursing courses and BSC Nursing. It has been said that only local residents of Jharkhand can apply for these courses. This provision of the government is not appropriate and is against the constitution. All posts in any appointment and nomination cannot be reserved for local people. The court was urged to set aside the nomination condition.
