Uttarakhand UK Diploma Engineers denied benefit of 5400 grade pay in 10 years latest news update 2023

Latest Updated 20/06/2023: The government has flatly refused to accept the demand of Uttarakhand Diploma Engineers Federation to give benefit of 5400 grade pay in ten years of service. The government argues that this benefit cannot be given after the MACP system is implemented in Uttarakhand. Under this, instead of ten years, engineers will be able to get the benefit of 5400 grade pay in 13 years. However, the government has assured action on other demands.

A meeting of the federation was held on Monday under the chairmanship of Additional Chief Secretary Anandvardhan. In the meeting, the federation reiterated that the order to give the benefit of 5400 grade pay on ten years of service has been made in the year 2015 but it is not getting its benefit. On this, the government clarified that in the year 2017, the system of MACP has been implemented in Uttarakhand.

It was assured by the government that apart from this other demands of the federation would be resolved.

Federation general secretary Mukesh Raturi told that the points discussed in the talks with the government will be put before the members of the federation.
