Breaking News: Bollywood Actress Ameesha Patel surrenders in Ranchi Civil Court in fraud case, bail
Latest Updated 18/06/2023: Film actress Ameesha Patel surrendered in the Civil Court of Ranchi on Saturday in a five-year-old case of cheating. The court of Judicial Magistrate Digvijay Nath Shukla granted bail to Amisha on two personal bonds of Rs 10,000 each.
The warrant was released by the court on 3 April
On 3 April, the court had issued a warrant against Ameesha for not appearing on several dates despite summons in the case. The next hearing in the case will be on 21 June. The court has asked Ameesha Patel to remain present in the court.
Explain that a case was filed against Ameesha and her business partner Kunal on behalf of Jharkhand's filmmaker Ajay Singh in the case of check bounce, cheating and intimidation. Ajay Kumar Singh, a resident of Argora, filed a cheating case against Ameesha in the CJM court on 17 November 2018. He had alleged that Ameesha Patel had taken Rs 2.5 crore from him in the name of making the film Desi Magic. When the film did not release in June 2018, Ajay Singh asked for the money back. After procrastination, 2 cheques of Rs 2.5 crore & Rs 50 lakh were given in October 2018, which bounced. After this Ajay Singh trial.
