Latest Updated 20/06/2023: Candidates who have passed the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) will also get exemption in marks in the ongoing teacher recruitment process from Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC). On the lines of Bihar Teacher Eligibility Test (BTET), different classes will achieve the benefit of relaxation ranging from five to 10%. 79 thousand 943 primary teachers are to be recruited from the commission.

In this regard, an order has been released under the signature of Pankaj Kumar, Director of Primary Education, Education Department. In this, it has been said that minimum 60 marks for general category candidates, 55 for backward class, backward class and general category women candidates and minimum 50 marks for SC, ST and Divyang candidates have been considered as qualification. That means all these teachers will be eligible to apply for the appointment. Now the same facility has been extended to the CTET qualified candidates as well.
Court refuses to ban teacher reinstatement
Patna A hearing was held on Monday in the Patna High Court on the petition challenging the teacher's reinstatement rules. The court ordered the state government to clarify the position in this matter by filing a counter affidavit within three weeks. However, the teacher refused to ban the reinstatement for the time being.
