UP Madarsa teachers did not get honorarium latest news update 2023
Latest Updated 04/05/2023: Modern teachers, who played an important role in the modernization of Madrasas in UP, have not received honorarium for five years. More than 8500 madrassas of the state are associated with the modernization plan. 21000 teachers teach English, Science, Maths etc. to the students.
Under the scheme, these teachers have to pay 60 percent of the honorarium to the central government and 40 percent to the state government. But from the year 2017 to 2021, these teachers did not get honorarium at all. Some part of the honorarium for the year 2022 came but before and after 2022 the honorarium could not be received. The economic condition of the teachers is getting worse.
The Islamic Madrasa Modernization Teachers' Association did everything by staging dharna, hunger strike, but could not get the honorarium. Association's president Ejaz Ahmed said that 21000 teachers in the state are facing financial crisis but the central government is not listening.
12 thousand and get eight thousand honorarium
Association's president Ejaz Ahmed said that firstly the madrasa teachers get very less honorarium and that too they are not getting it. Under the modernization scheme, MA teachers have got an honorarium of Rs 12,000 and BA teachers Rs 8,000. In which there is 60% central share and 40% state share. We are getting the state share, the central government gives a major part of the honorarium, which is not coming.
