Latest Updated 11/05/2023: There was a disturbance in the selection of the agency to conduct the recruitment examination held last year for 32 posts in the Vidhansabha. This truth has come to the fore in the investigation of the matter by the Speaker of the Legislative Assembly.
In the previous BJP government, approval was given for recruitment to 32 posts in the assembly. An agency was selected by the Vidhansabha Secretariat to conduct this exam. More than eight thousand youths appeared in this examination but the examination had to be canceled even before the results came. The quota committee constituted after the issue of backdoor recruitment in the Vidhansabha came into limelight, raised many questions regarding this recruitment in its report. In view of this, the speaker of the assembly canceled the examination and suspended the then secretary Mukesh Singhal as well. Later, Assembly Speaker Ritu Khanduri handed over the investigation to retired PCCF Jayaraj. He investigated this episode for about two months and now the investigation report on his behalf has been submitted to the Speaker.
Sources said that their probe report has pointed out several irregularities in the process of recruitment to the selection of the examination agency. In such a situation, the difficulty of the then Secretary of the Legislative Assembly may increase. Along with this, the agency conducting the examination may also have to face difficulties again. Assembly Speaker Ritu Khanduri confirmed receiving the inquiry report of the recruitment. He said that the investigation report has been received but he has not read the report yet. Something can be said clearly in this context only after reading the report.
