Post-pay scale approved for recruitment of teachers from BPSC latest news update 2023

The decision was taken in the cabinet meeting chaired by the Chief Minister (CM)

Latest Updated 03/05/2023: The state govt has fixed the pay scales of the teachers to be reinstated under the new rules. Along with this, 1 lakh 78 thousand 26 (178026) new posts have also been created. The recruitment to these new posts will be done through the Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC). It was approved in the state cabinet meeting chaired by CM Nitish Kumar on Tuesday. A total of 18 proposals were approved through the cabinet.


After the meeting, Additional Chief Secretary (CS) of the Cabinet, Dr. S. Siddharth informed about this. Maximum 85,477 posts of primary (Class 1 to 5) teachers have been created. Whereas, 1745 vacancies of Middle School (Class 6 to 8), 33,186 of Secondary (Class 9 to 10) and 57,618 of Higher Secondary (Class 11 to 12) have been created. At the same time, 1,78,026 vacancies created under the earlier rules have been extradited. Out of these, 79,943 vacancies of Panchayat & Municipal preliminary had become moribund.

Under the new rules, the reinstated teachers will be employees of the state govt, in whose account the salary will be paid directly from the treasury. Along with the basic salary of primary teachers, 42% dearness allowance (DA), 8 percent HRA, CTA 1500 & 1000 medical per month will be provided. In this way teachers from primary to higher secondary will get 40 thousand to 51 thousand salary/month. Apart from this, the state govt will contribute to the pension of 14 percent teachers, which will be in the range of 3500 to 4500 per month.

11 thousand crores will be spent annually by this decision of the state government

If the amount of pension is added then total salary will increase further. This decision of the state govt will cost 11 thousand crores annually. The basic salary of primary teachers has been fixed at 25,000 Rupees, middle school teachers 28,000 Rupees, secondary teachers 31,000 Rupees & Higher secondary school teachers 32,000 Rupees. 6570 IT assistants will be restored in panchayats


Accounts cum IT assistant will now be there in each gram panchayat. With this, 6570 new vacancies have been created for them. 2096 posts of Accounts cum IT Assistant have been created already, against which recruitment has also been made. Earlier it was decided that there would be an Accounts-cum-IT assistant on 4 gram panchayats, but now they will be posted in all the panchayats.

Ban on three wheeler diesel cargo in Patna


The operation of diesel powered three wheeler goods vehicles will be banned from 1 October 2023 in Patna Municipal Corporation, Danapur, Phulwari and Khagaul Municipal Council. At the same time, there will be a ban on the operation of all types of diesel powered three-wheelers in Gaya and Muzaffarpur Municipal Corporation areas. All types of commercial vehicles older than 15 years will also be banned in these areas from 1 October.
