Hepatitis-A confirmed in the students of Doon Medical College of UK Uttarakhand latest news update 2023
Latest Updated 28/05/2023: The health of MBBS students of Doon Medical College has deteriorated after drinking contaminated water. Hepatitis-A has been confirmed in three students living in the hostel. About ten more students are sick.
Students and family members say that the RO plant and water cooler installed in the hostel should be serviced. On the other hand, Chief Warden Dr. Ashok Kumar told that RO and water cooler are being serviced on time. Students suffering from Hepatitis-A can also get infection from outside. Many students are eating outside food. The overhead tank is also being cleaned as per rules.
Students should avoid eating outside. Principal Dr. Ashutosh Sayana told that students should be careful and avoid eating outside. Hepatitis infection is common in this season. The warden has been directed to maintain order.
