Latest Updated 24/05/2023: Coal workers will get arrears of 21 months as per Wage Settlement-11. According to the salary, this arrear will be available for a minimum of Rs 1.89 lakh and a maximum area of Rs 6.72 lakh. The arrears are to be paid after three months. That's why the amount of three months will be added to the arrears. That is, the minimum arrears will be more than two lakh and the maximum will be more than seven lakh rupees.
Coal India has made a provision of Rs 9252.24 crore for payment of arrears. Coal India has given complete information related to the National Coal Wage Settlement to SEBI. Coal India's company secretary BP Dubey has also informed the Bombay Stock Exchange and the National Stock Exchange about the wage settlement. Accordingly, the stock exchange will be informed about the economic impact of the 25% increase in allowances. The new wage settlement is to be implemented from July 1, 2021. Wage settlement has been done for a total of 2.81 lakh workers of Coal India and subsidiary companies and Singarenis Collieries Company.
