94.45 percent in Jharkhand tenth (10th) and 89.72 percent successful in twelfth (12th)

Latest Updated 13/05/2023: CBSE released the results of 10th and 12th board on Friday. Dhanbad's Archie Meharia and Adarsh Kumar Singh have become toppers in Class XII commerce and science respectively. In Class XII Science, Adarsh Kumar Singh of DPS Dhanbad is the state topper with 98.4 per cent marks. Alex Singh of DPS Ranchi has also got 98.4 percent marks in 12th Science. Apoorva Ojaswi (98.2) percentile of DPS Ranchi and Shubhangini (98.2) percentile of JVM Shyamali have been second topper and DPS Ranchi student Shreya Singh (98) has been third topper in the state.


Archi Meharia of Dhanbad's Rajkamal Saraswati Vidya Mandir has become the state topper in Class XII commerce with 98.8 per cent marks. Archie is originally from Deoghar. Sarla Birla, Ranchi and Ritwika Khaitan (98.6) and Manya Goyal (98.4) of DAV Hehal are the second and third toppers. And in Arts, Anya Sinha (98) of DAV Hehal, Jaisimran Kaur (97.8) of DPS Ranchi and Shivangi Mishra (97.6) of DAV Bishtupur have been the first, second and third toppers respectively in the state.

Across the country, 93.12 percent of the candidates have achieved success in 10th and 87.33 percent in 12th. In Jharkhand, the pass percentage of class 10 students was 94.45, while that of class 12 was 89.72. In Jharkhand, 95.30 percent of girl students were successful in class 10, while 93.90 percent of boys were successful. Similarly, 92.94 percent of girl students were successful in class 12, while the pass percentage of boys was 87.45. Compared to last year, there has been a drop in the result this time in the state. In 2022, 96.37 percent students were successful in 10th. And in the 12th, 92.29 percent were passed.


The board has not released the list of toppers, so that there is no competition among the children, the board has not released any merit list. CBSE had already decided that no merit list will be declared. Will not provide first, second, third class to its students, the board had made it clear.


However, the board will issue merit certificates to those 0.1 percent students who have secured the highest marks in various subjects.


Swagatika Panda stood second in the state in 10th


Swagatika Panda, a student of DAV Model School CFRI, has become the district topper in the CBSE 10th board examination by scoring 99 per cent marks. Swagatika Panda has got 98 marks in English, 99 in Maths, 98 in Science, 100 in SST, 100 in IT and 96 in Hindi.


While Yuvraj Singh of St. Xavier's International School and Aryan Agarwal of DAV Public School Koyla Nagar got 98.2 per cent marks.
