8 bridges will be built between Lucknow-Kanpur latest news update 2023
Latest Updated 13/05/2023: Under the Mission Raftaar project, the way was cleared for the construction of an overbridge on the railway line to speed up the trains. Ministry of Railways has approved the construction works of important project ROB under Mission Raftaar project in Lucknow-Kanpur-Ayodhya-Prayarag Mahakumbh area in Lucknow division.
Under this, a total of 17 ROBs will be constructed including eight ROBs on Lucknow-Kanpur rail section, seven ROBs in Ayodhya area and two ROBs in Kumbh Mela area. Its total construction cost will be shared 50-50 by the Railways and the State Government. For the construction of ROB, the survey report has been submitted by the Railways to the department. Soon the construction work will start in this direction.

Agreement between Railway, PWD and Setu Nigam
On Friday, an MoU was signed between Northern Railway Lucknow Division and Public Works Department and executive body State Bridge Corporation. Senior Divisional Commercial Manager of Northern Railway Rekha Sharma said that in the presence of DRM Suresh Kumar Sapra and Managing Director UP State Bridge Corporation Rakesh Singh on this agreement Chief Project Manager Gati Shakti Virendra Singh of Gati Shakti Unit Lucknow on behalf of Northern Railway Lucknow Division The agreement was signed after Yadav signed Chief Project Manager and Commercial Sandeep Gupta on behalf of the government.
