15 percent reservation for retired firefighters (Agniveer) in Railway Recruitment latest news update 2023
Latest Updated 12/05/2023: Railways has decided to provide reservation to retired Agniveers in 15 per cent direct recruitment posts under its various departments under the Army's 'Agneepath' scheme. The Railway Board has issued guidelines in this regard to the General Managers of all Zonal Railways and the Railway Recruitment Board on 10 May.

In level-1, 10 percent reservation will be given to Agniveers in vacant posts like Gangman, Trackman, Khalasi, Pointman etc. in class IV. Firemen will get five percent reservation in non-gazetted vacancies including Junior Clerk, Typist, Accountant, Junior Time Keeper, Train Clerk in Level-2.
