Uttarakhand Roadways Bus Conductor Vacancy 2023: 191 posts will be placed through PRD latest news update
Latest Updated 13/04/2023: The shortage of conductors in the roadways will soon be over. For this, the management has sought 191 conductors from the PRD. This is the first time, when roadways will appoint conductor through PRD. Till now conductors were hired from outsourced agencies only.
The roadways has a fleet of over 1200 buses, including 300 contract buses. There is also a roadways conductor in the contracted buses. Whereas, the driver belongs to the bus owner. There was a shortage of conductors for a long time. Due to this, bus services are also disrupted, many times buses are available, but the conductor is not available or double duty is done. Although the roadways demanded conductors from the agencies, the employee unions opposed it.
Divisional Manager (Operations) Sanjay Gupta said that a total of 191 conductors have been demanded. More than 100 conductors are to be posted in Dehradun division's depot. The same person will be posted on the post of conductor, who fulfills the operational conditions of the roadways, including educational qualification and age.

Order to provide list of conductors
Roadways Management had demanded conductors from Directorate-Youth Welfare and Provincial Guard. After this, Joint Director Ajay Kumar Aggarwal has ordered the District Youth Welfare and Provincial Guard Officers of Pauri, Dehradun, Almora, Nainital, USnagar, Champawat and Pithoragarh to provide the list of conductors.
