Latest Updated 05/03/2023: A 16-year-old student named Naveen Kumar Mahto, a resident of Kharpitto in Nawadih block of Bokaro, died after falling from the school bus. The incident took place around 3 pm on Saturday near Gol Building in Saraidhela. Naveen was a student of Vidyapeeth in Maharshi located at Bypass Road Dhangi and lived in the hostel there. He was returning to the hostel from Dwarka Memorial in Vishunpur after giving CBSE 10th examination. After the incident, the student was taken to SNMMCH for treatment. There the doctors declared him dead in the emergency. The family members of the candidate have been informed about the incident.

It is said that the student was appearing for CBSE 10th examination. His center was lying in the Dwarka Memorial. He was returning to the hostel by school bus along with other students after giving the exam. According to the students coming to the hostel with him in the bus, Naveen was sitting at the back of the bus. On the way, some teachers got down from the bus near the colony turn. After they got down, Naveen started moving from back to front to sit on the front seat. Meanwhile, the porter sitting on the frontmost seat got up and started taking a bottle of water from the cabin and Naveen stood next to him. Was just moving on. Then suddenly the bus driver applied the brakes near the TVS showroom located at Gol Building. 

Naveen fell outside the gate with a jolt due to braking. He had a head injury. After this, other 17 students in the bus reached Pragati Nursing Home with him. Seeing his serious condition there, Asarfi was referred. He was sent to SNMMCH from Asarfi. Naveen was brought to the emergency of SNMMCH. After investigation here, the doctors declared him dead. After this the incident was informed to the relatives. The family members who reached Dhanbad after getting the information were in bad condition crying.
