JPSC Result APP: Nikhar Barnwal became Jharkhand topper latest news update 2023
Latest Updated 23/03/2023: Jharkhand Public Service Commission released the result of Assistant Public Prosecutor (APP) of Jharkhand Prosecution Service late on Wednesday night. 113 have been selected in the direct recruitment examination held on 143 vacant posts. 30 posts of APP remain vacant.
Nikhar Barnwal has been the state topper in the APP result, while Garima Pandey has got the second position and Abhilasha Sahni has got the third position. Six women candidates have made it to the first eight places. JPSC has released the result following the instructions of the Jharkhand High Court.
The appointment process of APP, which has been going on since 2018, was canceled by the state government on January 21, 2022, the appointment process of ABP. Against this, the candidates approached the Jharkhand High Court. Last week, the Jharkhand High Court had directed to complete the recruitment process within three weeks. JPSC released the result within a week.

JPSC had released the advertisement for ABP on 23 February 2018. In this, 73 candidates from general category, 42 from scheduled tribe, 16 from scheduled caste, seven from backward class-1 and five from backward class-2 were to be selected. JPSC Chairperson Dr. Mary Neelima Kerketta, Members Dr. Ajita Bhattacharya, Dr. Anima Hansda, Dr. Jamal Ahmed, JPSC Secretary Ravi Ranjan Mishra and Controller of Examination Asim Kispotta stayed in the Commission till late night to publish the result.
