UP 69000 Teacher Recruitment candidates surrounded the directorate latest news update 2023
Latest Updated 17/03/2023: Candidates included in the selection list of 69,000 teacher recruitment protested on Thursday at the directorate in Nishatganj, demanding appointment. About 200 candidates protesting against the indecisive attitude of the government and departmental officers sat on an indefinite dharna. Seeing the rising anger of the candidates, the officials called the police and the PAC. Under the leadership of Amarendra Patel, the candidates held talks with Director General of Schools Vijay Kiran Anand but no solution was found.
These candidates had protested by gheraoing the residence of Basic Education Minister Sandeep Singh on Wednesday. On being forcefully picked up by the police, these candidates kept on protesting at Eco Garden throughout the day but no officer reached for talks. Angered by this, the candidates reached the Directorate of Education and the State Council of Educational Research (SCERT) at around 10 am on Thursday and started protesting. Amarendra Patel told that in the conversation with the Director General of Schools, he told the candidates that he has not yet read the order of the High Court. Full details of the discrepancies related to recruitment have been sought from the candidates.

After seeing all this, further action will be decided. Due to not getting some positive jawans in the talks with the Director General, the angry candidates sat on dharna outside. The candidates say that they will continue the strike until their demands are accepted.
