BJP's Naval Kishore Yadav asked a supplementary question whether the appointment process will start or the appointment will be completed? On this, the Education Minister made it clear that the appointment will be completed. This also includes the recruitment process.

180 days maternity leave rules in force now

He also told that the proposed rules regarding giving child care leave to women teachers appointed in schools of Panchayati Raj institutions are under consideration. Efforts will be made to add this arrangement in the new teacher appointment rules. The Education Minister gave this information in reply to the starred question of Sanjeev Shyam Singh. The Education Minister said that under the rule of Bihar Panchayat / Municipal Elementary School Service Rules 2020, the 180 days maternity leave rule is effective for the women teachers of the state. There is no provision for child care leave in this rule.

In response to a short notice question regarding approval of medical leave to employed teachers, the Education Minister said that no proposal for approval of medical leave is under consideration. Government may consider this in future. Questioner Sanjay Kumar Singh asked a supplementary question that the authority to approve medical leave of teachers of city or Panchayati Raj institutions has been given to the secretary of the planning unit. Approval of medical leave takes months. In such a situation, the salary of the concerned teacher stops. JDU's Sanjeev Kumar Singh said that there is a preparation to make a district cadre of teachers, so the benefit should be started. On this, the minister said that efforts will be made to include this system in the new rules.
