Latest Updated 07/03/2023: The union leaders raised the issue of non-approval of 19 per cent MGB under the 11th Wage Agreement of coal workers with the Coal India Chairman. AITUC's Ramendra Kumar told that the chairman said in the meeting that talks have been held with the ministry in this regard. Approval is expected soon. On the 9th meeting of JBCCI, Coal India Management said that the next meeting of JBCCI will be called only after the intake issue is resolved. Both the National Mine Workers Federation and the Indian National Mines Workers Federation have staked their claims. Two lists have come for JBCCI. Coal India has sought the opinion of Additional Solicitor General regarding the order of Calcutta High Court. Union leaders were informed about the coal production and dispatch for the current financial year in the meeting. The management spoke on the productivity and performance of the companies including production. The management said that going by the current performance, it can be said that the production target of 700 million tonnes will be crossed. The target of 780 million tonnes for the financial year 2023-24 was also discussed. Director Personnel Vinay Ranjan and other officers and K Lakshma Reddy from BMS, Nathulal Pandey from HMS, DD Ramanandan from CITU were also present in the meeting.
