Latest Updated 01/03/2023: There is good news for education lovers and students. SSLNT Women's College will now get 25 acres of land in the city's polytechnic campus. BBMKU will also be allotted 10 acres of land. Higher and Technical Education Department has sent the concerned letter to DC Dhanbad.


Let us tell that at present SSLNT Women's College is operating in LC Road. For the more number of girl students, land was demanded for the second campus. The Directorate of Higher Education has transferred 10 acres of land to the Polytechnic campus. Recently, Higher Education Secretary Rahul Purwar had reached University and SSLNT Women's College. Principal Dr. Sharmila Rani had demanded 25 acres of land. After that this letter was issued by the department.

SSLNT will get 25 acres of land

SSLNT will be divided into four parts and new construction will be done by marking 25 acres of land for SSLNT and 10 acres of land for expansion of BBMKU. For this reason Government Polytechnic Dhanbad should be divided into four parts. The proposal should be made available to the Department without delay by marking the first plot SSLNT 25 acres, the second plot BBMKU Dhanbad 10 acres, the third plot ITI Dhanbad formerly operated and the fourth plot Government Polytechnic Dhanbad.


80 acres of land in the polytechnic campus


In a letter issued on February 23, George Kumar, Joint Secretary, Department of Higher and Technical Education, said that about 80 acres of land has been marked for the state polytechnics operated under the department. The office of ITI Dhanbad and BBMKU Dhanbad is situated in the polytechnic campus itself. Out of the identified land of Government Polytechnic Dhanbad, 10 acres of land was transferred to SSLNT Dhanbad. Instead, it is proposed to allot 25 acres of land to the college.
