Latest Updated 08/02/2023: A record 37409 posts will be recruited in the Combined Graduate Level (CGL) 2022 recruitment of the Staff Selection Commission (SSC). Never before in the history of SSC have so many vacancies been recruited in CGL. Generally, 8 to 9 thousand posts were recruited in CGL.
The Commission has uploaded the vacancy details on its official website. Its final result can be issued any day. Earlier, the Commission had expressed the possibility of recruitment for about 20000 posts in September. But the information of vacant posts received from various departments of the Central Govt has almost doubled.

In of these, 15982 vacancies are unreserved, 8719 for OBC, 5776 for SC, 3937 for EWS & 2997 for ST. In this, maximum 19676 vacancies are of Postal Assistant or Sorting Assistant in the Department of Posts. There will be recruitment of 3140 for Tax Assistant in Central Board of Direct Taxes, 2752 for Senior Administrative Assistant in Military Engineering Service under Ministry of Defense, 2295 for Auditor in offices under Auditor General of India and Comptroller & 1470 for Accountant or Junior Accountant.

Recruitment will also be done in Central Excise, there are 1260 vacancies of Assistant Audit Officer Group B in Indian Accounts and Auditors Department under CAG. The Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs has 1113 vacancies of Inspector Central Excise while the Central Secretariat Service has 982 posts of Assistant Section Officer (ASO).
