Latest Updated 16/02/2023: The state government has prepared a plan to appoint junior field investigators in every block. The proposal for appointment in this regard has been sent to the General Administration Department. After getting consent from there, the requisition for appointment will be sent to the Staff Selection Commission. Additional Chief Secretary of Planning and Development Department Arunish Chawla told that we are preparing from our level. Recently, the department had decided to appoint one junior regional investigator in all the blocks.

On the basis of the decision of the department, under the Directorate of Economics and Statistics, one post of Junior Regional Investigator is to be created in each block of the province. Approval has been given to create one post each in 235 blocks by removing 235 posts of Junior Regional Investigator already created at directorate level from directorate (headquarters) and district statistics offices. After this approval was given to create one post of junior regional investigator in the remaining 299 blocks. In this way, a total of 534 posts of junior field investigators have been created in all 534 blocks.
