Latest Updated 11/02/2023: There is good news for the B.Ed qualified youth of the district. Jharkhand Education Project Council, Ranchi has given green signal to the proposal regarding appointment of 182 teachers on contract basis in 20 model schools of the district. Subject wise reservation roster has also been issued. A letter has been sent to DC Dhanbad in this regard. Now soon the advertisement of contract based appointment will be issued by the DEO office at the district level.
The 20 model schools include three excellence level and 17 district level model schools. Out of 182 posts, 32 posts are for plus two and 150 are for high schools. Out of 150 posts, 79 are reserved for unreserved, 16 for BC/BC II, 24 for MBC/BC One, 12 for ST and 19 for SC. There are 20 unreserved out of 32 posts in Plus Two, 2 in BC/BC Two, 10 reserved in MBC/BC One.

Let us inform that earlier about 8229 applications were received for 182 posts. It got canceled for various reasons. After that the District Office sought guidance and approval from the State Project Office on 19 January 2023. On 1 February, a letter of approval has been issued on behalf of the project.
The State Project Director has said in the issued letter that contractual teachers will be selected only on need-based vacant posts approved before the school. For subjects in which the number of children enrolled in the school is zero, contract teachers will not be selected for that subject. Four percent Divyang will get the benefit of horizontal reservation.
