Latest Updated 27/02/2023: Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has directed to speed up the process of recruitment in Bihar Police. Expressing strong displeasure over the delay in the reinstatement of constable and other posts, during his address, he appointed Chief Secretary Aamir Subhani, Additional Chief Secretary Home Chaitanya Prasad, Chairman of Bihar Constable Selection Board, former DGP SK Singhal and DGP RS Bhatti. - asked to stand in their places. Then taking assurance from these officers, asked that the restoration will be done soon, there will be no delay. The address was taken forward only after everyone agreed.
The Chief Minister was inaugurating the program organized on the occasion of Police Week at Mithilesh Stadium located in BSAP-5 campus of the city on Sunday. He also talked about agile policing with special focus on the development of infrastructure, maximum training and recruitment in the police. The CM said that the policemen should not worry about anything, starting from salary and allowances, all the facilities are being increased continuously. Just do your duty with honesty and promptness. Do not spare those who do any kind of wrongdoing. If someone gives bribe, then stay away from it. Pay less attention to mobile while on duty.

There will be 50 percent permanent restoration in special branch
CM also talked about making 50 percent permanent restoration in the special branch of Bihar Police. He said that the reorganization of this branch was ordered long ago, but it has not happened till now. Expressing displeasure over this, asked the DGP to implement it soon. On 50 per cent of the posts, personnel keep coming and going from other places. He said that SAP personnel would remain in service for 60 years.
Bihar reached 25th place in crime
The CM said that according to the data of the National Crime Records Bureau, in 2021, Bihar has reached 25th place in the country in terms of crime. But it needs to be improved. There is a need to take care that no such incident happens anywhere. He asked the police stations to pay special attention to increase night patrolling, take strict action against criminals and strengthen Dial-112. Said that due to its strength, in case of crime, fire and any accident, help can be obtained immediately by calling on it. He also asked to increase the number of FSL labs.
