Latest Updated 15/02/2023: The matriculation examination of Bihar Board started on Tuesday. On the first day, 29 students were expelled on charges of cheating, while 17 were caught appearing for substitutes. The attendance of examinees remained from 95 to 97 across the state.


The Bihar Board had given a relaxation of 20 minutes in the last admission on the first day, yet the examinees reached the first shift at eight o'clock. During the matriculation examination a week ago, the Bihar Board had reduced the last entry time at the center to half an hour instead of ten minutes. Apart from the mobile of every examinee, this information was also given by the board through social media.

Maximum 7 expelled in Saran On the first day of examination, maximum expulsion of seven examinees from Saran district took place from all over the state. And the maximum number of 12 fake examinees were caught in Nalanda district. Apart from this, three fake candidates from Supaul, one each from Rohtas and Jehanabad have also been caught. 1500 examination centers have been set up across the state for the matriculation examination. On the first day, the examination of Mathematics was held in both the shifts. In this, 8,25,121 candidates filled the form in the first shift and 8,12,293 candidates in the second shift.


Affidavit filled by 16 lakh examinees during the Matriculation examination, the last entry at the examination center will be half an hour before and the examinees will reach the center at the scheduled time, for this the Bihar Board has got the affidavit filled by the examinees at the centers across the state. This affidavit was made to be filled by 16 lakh examinees of both the shifts. The name of the candidate, roll code, roll number have been taken in the affidavit.


Bihar Board President Anand Kishor said that during the examination held from February 15 to 22, the last entry in the center will be available only half an hour before the commencement of the examination. A grace period of 20 minutes was given on the first day. But this relaxation will not be given in the next examination. That is, the first shift exam will be held from 9.30 am, then for this the last admission will be till 9.00 am & the second shift will start from 2 pm. For this, the candidates will get admission only till the last admission till 1.30 pm.


Students welcomed with flowers


Matriculation students were welcomed with flowers. The main gate was decorated with the marigold flowers. Inside, urns were kept at different places. The examination hall was then carpeted. The examinees were being screened as soon as they reached the examination center. Those who wore shoes, were being sent to the examination hall barefoot after taking off their shoes. All these scenes were shown at various centers during the matriculation examination conducted by the Bihar Board. Entry into the center is allowed up to ten minutes before the commencement of the examination.


Most of the questions came from the formula in objective type questions


On the first day of matriculation examination was held for Mathematics subject. Mathematics teachers told that the question paper was good. In objective type questions, 90% were formula and theorem based questions. Most of the questions were asked from Trigonometry, Algebra and Geometry chapter. The teachers told that this time the questions were lighter than last year. The model question paper issued by the board was helpful for the students.


70 thousand candidates appeared in 71 centers in Patna


In Patna district, 71 examination centers have been set up for the matriculation examination. In this, 36,112 candidates were to appear in the first shift and 34,818 in the second shift. Patna district had 98 attendance. The ideal centers were decorated with flowers.


Science exam today


There will be science exam on the second day. The exam will be of 80 marks. There will be an exam for Physics, Chemistry and Biology. The first shift will be from 9.30 am to 12.15 pm and the second shift will be from 2 to 4.45 pm. Blind examinees will give music test instead of science.
