Latest Updated 29/01/2023: Salary grant of workers of Madrasas in 27 districts of the state has been postponed. On the orders of the High Court, 2459 madrasas are being investigated for taking grants on forged NOCs.


Additional Chief Secretary of Education Department, Deepak Kumar Singh has ordered regarding this. The Additional Chief Secretary has instructed the DEOs and DPOs that till the investigation is done as to which madrassas are being run as per the departmental resolution and which are not, the salary grant of all their workers will be suspended. The High Court had ordered an inquiry into 2,459 madrasas in the state after the issue of taking grants on forged certificates came to the fore in Sitamarhi.

On 30 January, the Education Department has called the chairman of the inquiry committees constituted at the district level to Patna. In the three-member committee, the senior deputy collector authorized by the DM is the chairman. The DEO is the member secretary and the BEO of the concerned block is the member.
