Patliputra University gave permanent affiliation to two colleges and temporary affiliation to 17 colleges latest news update 2023
Latest Updated 04/01/2023: The Academic Council meeting was held at Patliputra University on Tuesday. In the meeting, members of the Academic Council granted permanent affiliation to two colleges, while temporary affiliation was given to 17 colleges.

It was decided that the courses which have been approved by the Raj Bhavan, the Board of Studies will update law, PhD course work and other professional courses every year by holding regular meetings. Along with this, the research supervisor will be made responsible for the quality of PhD. 75 percent attendance has also been made mandatory for research scholars. Research scholars will also have to take classes in the college of their research supervisor where they are posted. Employed research scholars will have to take leave from their department for the duration of research. The council has approved RLSY College, Anisabad as Account Group of Arts, Science and Commerce and R.K. Lal College, Nalanda has been given permanent affiliation from the session 2023-2026 up to graduate honors level in Home Science. Whereas PTJM College, Rajgir, SP Verma College, Nalanda, AP College, Nadaul were granted temporary affiliation for two years from the session 2023-2026. Apart from this, B. New affiliation has been given to two colleges Allama Iqbal College, Nalanda and Kusumraj Educational Institute, Moriyawan, Vikram with 60 seats each for LICE. BBM and BCA seats were increased from 60 to 120 in Western College of Management, Patna. New affiliation granted to RP College Datiana, Maa Sharda College of Technical Education & Research, Patna, Baldev College of Technical Education, Patna, Department of Professional Studies, Maa Sheetla Institute of Education, Nalanda with 60 seats for BBA & BCA Is.

Fee hike proposal
Principal Prof. Indrajit Rai, Principal Prof. Sp. Shahi proposed fee hike for self-financed courses. Principal Prof. Spot Admission by Upendra Prasad, Prof. Poonam raised the issues of creation of posts in science subjects and Dr. Praveen Kumar, Dr. Archana Sinha. The Vice-Chancellor formed a committee and talked about its solution in this week itself.

MGM College of Law, Bela, Naubatpur, Ambedkar Law College, Danapur, Himalaya Law College, Paliganj, JP College of Law, Nalanda, Impact Law College, Patna, Surendra Hemant College for Legal Studies, Patna for three year LLB and five year BA LLB Affiliation was given for the session 2023-24. MGM College of Law, Bela, Naubatpur, Ambedkar Law College, Danapur, Himalaya Law College, Paliganj got affiliation for BBA LLB. Bihar Institute of Law, Rajabazar got affiliation for two year LLM. Chaitanya College of Management and Technology, Patna and Kamta Prasad Sinha College, Chiksi Paliganj were not given affiliation due to lack of infrastructure.
