Latest Updated 15/01/2023: JPSC released the result of the first deputy collector (limited) competitive examination on Saturday. Its advertisement came out 18 years ago in year 2005. 50 candidates have been successful in the examination held for 50 seats. Rajesh Kumar has become the state topper, while Manoj Kumar has become the second topper and Mukesh Kumar is the third topper.


The examination was organized on 13 April 2006 at 16 centers in Ranchi. 8254 applicants had appeared in it. There was a controversy regarding irregularities during the examination. The matter went to the High Court. Meanwhile, then the governor Syed Sibte Razi had ordered a monitoring inquiry into the examination. This examination was the canceled on 12 June 2013 on the basis of the investigation report. On the initiative of the govt, the commission released a notice for re-examination on 19 October 2015. In this, 4000 applicants were left out due to lack of qualification or work experience.
