Inter district transfer of 50000 teachers of Bihar will be possible latest news update 2023
Latest Updated 22/01/2023: Inter-district transfer of teachers of graduate category and headmaster category will now be possible. The state government will make changes in the existing provision for this.
Education Department is going to amend the Bihar Government Primary School Teacher Transfer Disciplinary Action and Promotion Rules 2018. After amendment, it will include inter-district transfer. After this amendment in the rules, there will be inter-district transfer of teachers of basic category, graduate category and headmaster category. However, their priority list will be affected in this. According to Education Minister Dr. Chandrashekhar, the government is going to amend the existing provision so that the teachers are facilitated in teaching and they can work better.
Elementary school teacher transfer disciplinary action and promotion rules will be amended
This will directly benefit 50 thousand teachers. The seniority of the teacher transferred as a result of inter-district transfer will be lower than the teachers appointed in the year of their appointment in the new district cadre. Earlier, under the rules, there was facility of inter-district transfer of only basic category teachers. This matter was brought to the notice of the Education Minister by teachers' organizations and many public representatives.
