IIT ISM Dhanbad: Changes in PhD regulation latest news update 2023
Latest Updated 05/01/2023: IIT Dhanbad has changed the PhD regulation. The new PhD regulation has been approved by the senate of the institute. Under the new system, if a full-time research scholar joins a job somewhere during his studies, he will have to inform about it. After getting a job, PhD students can convert their full time registration to part time by giving information.

NOC will have to be taken for doing part time PhD from the job institute. If he does a job without information, his PhD registration will be cancelled. The IIT management has issued a notification and implemented it with immediate effect. Experts say that research scholars doing PhD must compulsorily bring minimum 6.5 CGPA grade point in each semester. Bringing less grade point than this will be considered as fail. The concerned student will have to re-appear in the examination of that semester. There will be only one chance for improvement till semester four. IIT management has also issued other notification including no credit course in PhD regulations.
