Latest Updated 04/12/2022: At present, contract-based appointments can be made on 48 posts in Jharkhand State Open University. Governor Ramesh Bais has given his consent to the proposal of the university. The Governor has given his approval under the provision of temporary appointment under section 48 of the Jharkhand Open University Act.
The appointment will be for a maximum period of three years or till the creation of a post for permanent appointment from the Government level, whichever is earlier.

A total of 30 assistant professors will be appointed in 15 schools under the Open University. Two assistant professors will be recruited in every school. Temporary appointment will be possible on the posts of two private secretaries of the Vice-Chancellor, one accountant, two LDCs, three data entry operators, one receptionist, two drivers, one guard etc.
