Bihar Kasturba Vidyalaya: 394 schools will be upgraded till 12th latest news update 2022
Latest Updated On 25/12/2022: To prevent dropout of girl students in Kasturba Vidyalaya, 394 Kasturba Vidyalayas across the state will be upgraded. All these Kasturba schools are up to class VIII and class X only. All these schools will be upgraded till 12th standard. Preparations for this have been done by the Bihar Education Project Council. This will reduce the problem of dropout in Kasturba Vidyalaya. It may be noted that two lakh girl students are enrolled in 535 Kasturba schools across the state. More than 50 percent of the girl students of Kasturba Vidyalayas, which are up to eighth grade, do not study after eighth grade. Girl students drop out even after class 10th, but now after upgrading, girl students of Kasturba Vidyalaya will be able to study till class 12th. There are three types of schools across the state. Some Kasturba Vidyalayas have enrollment from VI to VIII. Whereas in some there is enrollment from sixth to tenth. Earlier in 2022, 141 Kasturba schools have been upgraded up to 12th standard. Next year 394 Kasturba Vidyalayas will be upgraded.
Bihar board will take exam
150 girl students of Kasturba Vidyalaya from across the state have appeared for the matriculation examination in 2022. After upgrading to 12th, all the school girl students will be able to appear in the inter examination conducted by the Bihar Board. Everyone will be given the code of Inter by the Bihar Board.
Applications are being taken for the appointment of teachers
Online applications are being taken by the Bihar Education Project Council for posting teachers and wardens in Kasturba Vidyalaya. After taking online applications, teachers and wardens will be appointed on the basis of written examination. According to the council, more than four thousand teachers and warden seats are vacant in 535 Kasturba schools across the state. All the vacant posts in Kasturba Vidyalaya will be filled before the new session starts.
