Latest Updated 30/11/2022: After continuous complaints, a major change has been made in the selection process of Anganwadi workers and assistants. The minimum qualification for Sevika will be Inter or its equivalent and Matriculation for Anganwadi Sahayika. Earlier it was matriculation and 8th pass respectively. It was approved in the cabinet meeting chaired by CM Nitish Kumar on Tuesday.


Additional Chief Secretary of the Cabinet, Dr. S. Siddharth said that online applications will be taken for the appointment at the district level. Advertisement will be issued before this. A committee constituted under the chairmanship of the Deputy Development Commissioner of the concerned district will scrutinize the applications and prepare a merit list. Candidates with highest degree will be given first chance. If two candidates have the same educational qualification, then the selection will be done on the basis of merit marks. Time will be given to file objection. After removing the objections, the final list will be made. On the basis of the final list, the selected will be appointed in the general body meeting. There will also be a provision for appeal to the DM and then to the commissioner. For this, the Sevika-Sahayika Selection Guide-2022 has been approved. It will be mandatory for the maid and assistant to be in the same ward.

54 special courts will be set up under the POCSO Act


54 special courts will be set up for speedy execution of cases filed under rape and POCSO Act in state courts. 432 posts of different categories will be created for these courts. Thats has been approved in the cabinet meeting. Along with this, eight additional special courts will be set up in the courts of the state for speedy disposal of cases under the Bihar Prohibition and Excise Act, 2016. The cabinet has also approved the creation of 72 posts of different categories for these eight courts.
