Fake Admissions in UP Ayush Colleges latest news update 2022
Latest Updated On 05/11/2022: Last year a large number of fake admissions took place in the AYUSH colleges of the state. Admissions were made in Ayurveda, Unani & Homeopathic colleges bypassing the merit of NEET-UG 2021. Four students and two girl students who got admission outside the NEET merit in the Government Ayurveda College, Tudiaganj, have been suspended after investigation. 891 fake admissions have been feared.
Taking the problem seriously, the Ayush Minister has ordered a high-level inquiry. There is a provision for admission in the medical colleges only on the basis of NEET merit list. Along with allopathic, admission in govt & private colleges of AYUSH is done on the basis of NEET merit. Fraudsters also broke into NEET for admission in the medical courses. In the academic session 2021, admissions in BAMS, BUMS & BHMS courses were done on a large scale in AYUSH colleges by fraud. After admission, studies in colleges began. Under the system, from NEET merit list to other educational certificates were checked.
Names of 6 students were not found in NEET merit in Lucknow's Government Ayurveda Colleges. The officials checked the merit list several times but the names of 2 girls students and 4 boys students were not there in the list.
Admission on low merit
Many startling facts have come to light in the initial investigation of the fraud. It also includes cases of admission of students with low merit. Along with this, there is talk of giving admission to some such students who did not even clear the NEET exam.
The news of fraud admission created panic in the AYUSH department. The investigation was organized secretly.
This is a very serious matter. Its departmental inquiry has been started. Apart from this, a high level inquiry will be conducted. In which there will be investigation of irregularities at every level including from colleges to directorate. FIR will be lodged against the culprits. The pre-admission case is not of my tenure.
