Latest Updated On 05/11/2022: In about 6000 out of 8386 middle schools of Bihar, one physical education cum health instructor will be reinstated. For this, the Directorate of Primary Education of the Education Department will ask for fresh applications shortly. The Director of Primary Education, Ravi Prakash has sought the report of vacant posts from all the District Education Officers by November 7. Districts will have to provide details of vacancy planning unit wise & category wise.

Earlier this year, the Education Department had sought applications for appointment to 1 post each of Physical Education cum Health Instructors in 8386 Middle Schools. The report of the planning done in May month has been received by the Directorate of Primary Education from the districts. Out of 8386 vacancies, only 2350 have been notified by the districts. It has become clear in the review that in most of the planning units, the vacancies are vacant and there are no applications available. In 2019, the Bihar School Examination Committee (BSEC) had taken the eligibility test for Physical Teacher. Only 3500 were successful in this exam. Now, 2300 have been appointed, so only 1200 eligible applicants are present. The primary directorate is preparing to take the online application again in November itself. In this way, the appointment of 1200 applicants is fixed.
