Bihar CM Nitish Kumar will give appointment letters for Water Resources Department (WRD) to 1006 personnel today latest news update

Latest Updated 14/11/2022: There have been 1006 new appointments in the Water Resources Department. Chief Minister Nitish Kumar will give them the appointment letter. On Monday, the appointment letter distribution-cum-orientation program for the newly recruited personnel has been organized at Shri Krishna Memorial Hall.


Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav, Finance, Commerce Tax and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Vijay Kumar Chaudhary will also be present in the function. Water Resources and Information and Public Relations Minister Sanjay Kumar Jha will preside over the function. Water Resources Minister Sanjay Kumar Jha informed that the service allocation process of newly appointed personnel in all the 19 chief engineer circles of the state was completed on 18 October with full transparency through computer-based randomization method. After distribution of appointment letters on Monday, they will be posted in various offices under the Chief Engineer's field within 24 hours.

The Minister said that sufficient posts were not available for lower divisional clerks, but such a large number of candidates are being appointed to accommodate the additional posts. In the recent cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, the proposal to remove the bottlenecks arising in these appointments was approved. On the instructions of the Chief Minister, the process of new appointments has been expedited in all the departments of the State Government including the Water Resources Department.


Bihar Staff Selection Commission has selected


Chief Minister Nitish Kumar will distribute appointment letters to 489 lower class clerks and 485 junior accounts clerks i.e. total 974 candidates. These candidates have been selected by the Bihar Staff Selection Commission. Apart from this, 32 junior engineers recommended by the Bihar Staff Selection Commission will also get appointment letters.
