Trending News: Reinstatement on 2144 posts in the new PHC of Jharkhand latest news update 2022
Latest Updated On 07/10/2022: 134 new Primary Health Centers (PHCs) will be opened to provide health facilities in rural areas of the state. For the operation of these health centers, 2144 posts will be appointed. There will be permanent appointment of 2 doctors and 9 paramedical personnel per centre.
In this, there will be permanent appointment on 134-134 posts of Pharmacist, Women's Health Guide, Laboratory Technician and Clerk, besides 268 doctors, 402 nurses category A and 268 ANMs. In every PHC, 1-1 of male and female room servant, 1 post of attendant/dresser, 1 post of sweeper cum watchman and 1 post of data entry operator i.e. a total of 670 posts will be filled on outsourcing basis. The minimum monthly honorarium of outsourced workers shall not be less than the honorarium fixed on the basis of remuneration fixed by the Labor Department. Outsourced posts will not be considered accepted. The recommendation of the Finance Department has been made on the proposal.

Creation of posts as per IPH standard
Arun Kumar Singh, Additional Chief Secretary, Health Department has said that places fulfilling the eligibility of primary health centers have been identified in various districts. As per the building availability, 134 PHCs have been sanctioned. The construction work of all the PHCs has been completed. For their operation, posts have been created as per Indian Health Standard (IPH). In the past, only 154 posts of Medical Officers were created for 77 newly created PHCs. The posts of Para Medical personnel could not be created. In other 57 PHCs, primary health centers are not functioning due to non-creation of the post of medical officer along with paramedical personnel. He has said that it has been decided to surrender such 1990 sanctioned posts in unified Bihar, which are not required.
