Latest Updated On 16/10/2022: The Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Selection Commission's Preliminary Examination (PET) concluded peacefully on Saturday, barring sporadic incidents. On the first day, a total of 21 people were arrested for attempting to break into this examination held in two batches. More than six lakh examinees left the exam on the first day.
In Lucknow, the first batch of examinations started at 10 am, before that the process of admission started from 9.30 pm, but there was panic due to the delay in depositing the mobile, keys, watches, jewelery etc. of the candidates. 34 in the first batch and 33 in the second passed the examination.

For this examination being conducted in four batches on Saturday and Sunday, 1899 examination centers have been set up in 75 districts. In each batch, 9,39,553 candidates got registered but on Saturday a total of 6,17,967 candidates appeared in the first batch. 3,21,586 passed the exam. In the first batch, out of the total registered candidates, 66 appeared in the examination and 34 left the examination. In the second batch, 6,31,251 candidates appeared in the examination. 3,08,302 candidates remained absent. In the second batch, 67 candidates appeared and 33 left the examination.
