JAC Matric - Inter Exam 2022 will now be held in one go for class VIII, IX and XI latest news update 2022
Examinations will be taken on OMR sheet and answer book in February-March
Latest Updated On 14/10/2022: Jharkhand will now have a single examination for class VIII, IX and XI with matriculation and intermediate. Matriculation and Inter examinations will be on OMR sheets and answer sheets, while Class VIII, IX and 11th examinations will be conducted on OMR sheets only. These examinations will be conducted in February-March. This decision was taken in a meeting of Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC) President and Secretary and other education officers, chaired by Education Minister Jagarnath Mahato on Thursday.
In this regard, the Education Minister has written a letter to the Education Secretary & directed to release a notification to take the examination in one go. The Education Secretary will now send Jack a notification to take the exam in one go. After this Jack will start preparing for the exam.

Hindustan had raised the matter in the state's government schools, the enrollment period went on till September. Due to this neither the syllabus could be completed nor the preparation of the candidates was done. Model question papers were also not issued. This news was prominently raised by Hindustan and also exposed the difficulties of two term examination. In it it was told how the pressure of two board exams would be on the students. Teachers will be engaged in post-examination evaluation, which will affect the studies in the schools and there will be a challenge to complete the syllabus in the second term as well. The state govt would also have to bear the brunt of double expenses due to the two-term examination. Teachers' organizations had also given their consent not to conduct the examination in two terms due to these problems.

JAC will start preparing for the exam after the notification
After releasing the notification JACK will prepare to take the exam. The examinations will start from February. JACK will decide whether to take the 8th, 9th and 11th examinations on the OMR sheet first or to organize the first matriculation-inter examinations. Matric-Inter examinations can start from the last week of February or the first week of March, which will continue till the last week of March or the first week of April.
Other boards including CBSE had changed the exam pattern
The exam pattern in 2 terms was started by CBSE in 2021. If there is an examination of one term & the examination of the second term cannot be held due to any reason, then the result would have been released on the basis of one term. Many states including Jharkhand had adopted it. In year 2022, other boards including CBSE withdrew it.

1st term exam was to start from November
The Jharkhand govt had decided to take the examination from class VIII to XII in the first two terms. Online application forms are also being filled on the same basis. The first term examinations of matriculation & intermediate were to be conduct in November & second term examinations in March, while these examinations of class VIII, ninth & 11th were to be held in December and April.
The examinations of class VIII, IX and 11, including matriculation-inter, will be held in one term only. A letter has been sent to the Education Secretary. Notification will be issued by them. This decision has been taken for the benefit of the students & the convenience of the teachers.
