Four Years Syllabus upload on Ranchi University (RU) website by NEP latest news update 2022

Latest Updated On 26/10/2022: According to the provisions of the New Education Policy (NEP) 2020, Ranchi University (RU) administration has prepared the syllabus for four years and has uploaded the university website www.ranchiuniversity.ac.in. NEP 2020 is being implemented from this academic session in total 41 colleges including affiliated, affiliated and minority under RU. After the holiday, the students of the new session in the colleges will start studying under the NEP.

In this, some new subjects have also been added under the provisions of NEP. Which includes Understanding India, Mathematical and Analytical Skills, Computational Skills, Health, Fitness, Yoga, Sports etc. Syllabus has also been prepared and uploaded.

Apart from these, the syllabus of 16 vocational courses of RU has been prepared. These are subjects that have been started in the colleges under the university on the basis of the resources available there. Under this, in view of the forest area in Simdega, fisheries courses have been started in Forestry and Gumla. Provision has been made to teach one vocational course for every 500 students. For this the fee per student has been increased to Rs.250. For teaching vocational courses to 500 students in a semester, the RU administration has provided Rs 62,500 to the concerned college, the expenses of which are to be ensured by the principal. Vocational courses will be taught in the first and second semesters. Each semester will be of 3-3 credits.

There is a provision of 15 hours of classroom teaching or 30 hours of practical/fieldwork for one credit. In the first and second semester, students will have to study 6-6 subjects. Only those students who will qualify in 9 papers together in both the semesters will be eligible for enrollment in Semester-3.
