Latest Updated On 21/09/2022: There will be a recruitment on 7987 new posts in the Health Department. The state cabinet approved the creation of these vacancies on Tuesday. Out of these, 2673 posts have been created to further strengthen health services in 9 working & 8 proposed i.e. 17 government medical colleges & hospitals in the state. Simultaneously, 3990 posts have been created under the 3-year compulsory service for the PG / Diploma passed students from the government medical college of the state. A total of Sixteen (16) proposals were agreed upon in the cabinet meeting chaired by CM Nitish Kumar on Tuesday.

Similarly, it was agreed to create 423-423 vacancies for two medical colleges & hospitals in the state, Chapra and Samastipur. Of these, 135-135 will be for medical colleges & 288-288 posts for hospitals. After the meeting, Dr. S. Siddharth, Additional Chief Secretary of the cabinet gave this details. He said that PG passed students have to compulsorily serve 3 years in the state. The services of all of them will be taken as specialists in medical colleges & hospitals and other hospitals of the state. For this purpose, vacancies have been created for them.
New departments regarding cancer will be created in PMCH
229 vacancies including new departments related to cancer will be created in PMCH. The cabinet has approved the vacancies in PMCH as per the norms of National Medical Commission. The cabinet has provide its approval for creation of 210 dresser posts for 35 Sadar Hospitals in the state. These vacancies have been approved under the establishment & committed expenditure in Sadar Hospitals. Simultaneously, 39 vacancies of different categories will be created in Bihar Drug Control Laboratory, Agamkuan, Patna.
