Latest Updated On 22/09/2022: 433 new posts will be created in the police department after manpower approval in various units. This was discussed in the departmental review meeting of Additional Chief Secretary Radha Raturi with the police officers on Wednesday.
In this meeting held at the Police Headquarters, it was also decided that soon the Police Department would start the system of filing counter affidavit online in the court. Apart from this, amendment in the law to make the cases trial online was also discussed. DGP Ashok Kumar said that the Additional Chief Secretary was told that separate manpower is not approved in different units.

Due to this, only the existing policemen have to be deployed on 36 posts in ATS 138, ANTF 32, Pantnagar Airport 36, AHTU 191 and cow protection squad. On this, the ACS talked about efforts to sanction new posts in place of these 433 policemen. She will hold talks with the Chief Minister in this matter.
