Latest Updated On 20/08/2022: Thousands of students taking admission in government and private B.Ed colleges of the state are upset. The reason for their trouble is not being given an opportunity to slideup (switchover or skip option) in counseling for BEd admission.
Nodal University Lalit Narayan Mithila University has for the first time abolished the relaxation of slideup and spot round in counselling. e thrown out straight from the nomination itself. Now the students have trouble whether to enroll in the remote allot college under compulsion or wait for the next entrance exam. Based on the first merit list, the fee has to be deposited by August 22. Nominations have to be made by 26 August in any case. This time the students were given the opportunity to select at least five and not more than 12 colleges in the first instance itself.

What is the benefit of such counseling: Rakesh Kumar, student Saumya, Shreya say that if there is no chance of slide up, then what is the use of counseling. In other entrance examinations, counseling means that the students get registered by paying the fees. If you like the allotted college, then get the enrollment done after verifying the certificate. LNMU changed three rules in three years

- LNMU followed the same process in the year 2021 nomination also. Later, on the directions of the Supreme Court, open nomination was given for non-filling of seats.
- LNMU has not given any chance of slideup in counseling to the students in the year 2022.

Admission is to be done on 37,200 seats in 340 BEd colleges/institutions of 14 universities across the state. This includes 6 govt, 29 affiliated, 305 private, 20 minority, 8 female & 1 male colleges.
Problem with allotment of remote colleges
The principal of a college said that the students of Purnia and Chapra have been allotted the college of Bihar Sharif. This is the situation with hundreds of students. where there is no transport facility. Those colleges do not even have regular classes. There is only building in the name of facility.
This time, on the basis of merit, enrollment has to be taken in Allott College itself. Will not be given another chance. Students have been given a chance to choose 12 colleges. There was trouble with giving the slide a chance last time.
