Latest Updated On 28/08/2022: STF will also investigate the rigging in the recruitment of VPDO & VDO in the year 2015-16. Vigilance was probing the matter till now. But, on the instructions of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, DGP Ashok Kumar has handed over this investigation to the STF. Recently, 'Hindustan' had published a report prominently about the speed of STF investigation & the slowness of Vigilance.
On Saturday, DGP Ashok Kumar informed that on the instructions of the Chief Minister, the STF has been directed to complete the investigation of this recruitment expeditiously & to put the accused behind the bars soon. He said that the way the STF worked in the UK Subordinate Services Selection Commission's graduate level & Secretariat Guard recruitment, Uttarakhand STF came into the limelight across the country.
According to DGP, by adopting high technology of technical proficiency, surveillance & cyber, the accused were caught after strong proof. Now, the STF has been asked to expeditiously complete the investigation of the recruitment of Junior Assistant (Judicial) 2021 & VPDO 2015-16. The DGP himself is also reviewing these investigations per day. Let us tell you about that in the VPDO recruitment case of 2015-16, Vigilance had filed a case on January 2020. But, after the passage of about 2.5 years, she could not complete its investigation. Due to this, the CM directed to provide this investigation to the STF.

Vigilance could not complete the investigation of recruitment of 2015-16 for two and a half years
On the instructions of the CM, the investigation of this recruitment has also been provide to the STF. He has been instructed to act expeditiously. Hopefully this too will be revealed shortly.
