Latest Updated On 07/08/2022: The SSP has suspended the police constable who was arrested and sent to jail by the STF in the Uttarakhand Subordinate Services Selection Commission recruitment examination scam. STF had arrested a police personnel from Kashipur in the recruitment scam. This police personnel was posted on gunner duty of a police officer posted in Udham Singh Nagar district.
After the recruitment scam came to light, the STF was entrusted with the investigation of the scam. After getting many evidences in the investigation, the STF registered a case at Raipur police station in Dehradun.

After the arrest of a broker from Dehradun itself, the STF had arrested police constable Amrish and another youth, Deepak Sharma, posted as a gunner of a police officer in Kashipur on July 30. The STF sent both of them to jail after Amrish and Deepak confirmed their involvement in the scam during interrogation.
Here, the STF also sent the report of the arrest of police constable Amrish to SSP Udham Singh Nagar. SSP Dr. Manjunath TC said that on the basis of the report received from STF, constable Amrish Kumar has been suspended and the investigation has been handed over to CO Kashipur.
