Latest Updated On 07/08/2022: TET candidates demonstrated at Kargil Chowk on Saturday demanding the seventh phase of teacher recruitment. When the protesters proceeded towards the secretariat, they were stopped by the police. Earlier there was an argument between the police and the candidates. After this the protesters moved ahead. Seeing this, the police lathi-charged everyone and chased them away. Ten protesters were injured in this. Injured candidates are admitted in many private hospitals including PMCH.


On Saturday, the candidates were protesting under the banner of Bihar Elementary Youth Teachers Association. Thousands of candidates from every district had reached Patna in the demonstration. Union vice-presidents Mike Pal and Nitesh Pandey told that the agitation was going on for the last six days demanding the restoration of the primary teachers of the seventh phase. In the last week of July, the Education Department announced the release of the schedule for the seventh phase of teacher planning. But not released yet. Union State President Dipankar Gaurav said that the candidates have been lathi-charged. During this many protesters including Kumar Satyam have been injured.
