Latest Updated On 05/08/2022: The High Court has ordered to give jobs to the guerrillas in Uttarakhand within three months. Along with this, a single bench of the High Court ordered to give retirement benefits to the guerrillas and also all the benefits to the wives of the dead guerrillas within three months. This order of the bench of Justice Sharad Sharma will benefit about five thousand guerrillas of Uttarakhand.
In this case, Anusuiya Devi of Tehri, Mohan Singh of Pithoragarh and 29 others had said in the petition that the guerrillas are armed with training from ITBP. In the past, the government also took him as a volunteer on honorarium. In the year 2003, he stopped working.
According to the petitioners, the Manipur High Court has asked Manipur guerrillas to be employed and to provide pension and other benefits to those of retirement age. This order was also upheld through the Supreme Court. After hearing these petitions, the High Court has directed the Central Government to provide facilities to the guerrillas of Uttarakhand like Manipur.
