Trending News: Bihar NHM Recruitment 2022 for 366 staff nurses posts in hospitals latest news update
Latest Updated On 11/08/2022: Additional Primary Health Centers (APHCs) including district hospitals, sub-divisional hospitals of the state will get additional staff nurses. In order to improve the nursing service of government hospitals, the recruitment of nurses is being done in a phased manner.
Under the program under the National Health Mission, 366 staff nurses have been selected by the State Health Committee on contract basis. Apart from APHC, they will be posted in CCU, NCD, SNCU, NRC and geriatric wards of hospitals. Everyone has been instructed to contribute in their allotted district by 31 August.

Appointment to strengthen the infrastructure: The state government is making continuous efforts to improve the health service in the state. With the strengthening of infrastructure from primary health centers to medical college hospitals, the vacant posts of doctors, para medical staff and nurses are being filled in a phased manner. With the aim of providing high quality treatment to the patients, new posts of medical personnel are being created and appointed.
Appointment on contract with permanent: Medical personnel are also being reinstated on contract basis with permanent.
The result of the positive initiative of the government is that there has been a vast improvement in the health service of the state in the last few years. So far, the recruitment process of about ten thousand nurses has been completed.

Plan to appoint about 20 thousand nurses this year
There is a plan to recruit about 20,000 nurses this year. In January last year, the State Health Committee had invited applications for 4102 posts of Staff Nurse for appointment on contract basis in hospitals. These posts are being recruited in a phased manner. In this sequence, 366 staff nurses have been selected. Out of which 9 for CCU, 13 for NCD, 24 for SNCU, 41 for NRC, 17 for geriatric ward and 262 staff nurses have been selected for APHC.
